Candy Clicker: from one click to a candy god
Candy Clicker starts with almost nothing on screen: a big pink striped candy, a counter that reads zero and a shop you cannot afford yet. Click the candy and you get one candy. Click fifteen times and you can buy your first Auto click, which drops half a candy into your pile every second without you touching anything. That is the whole loop, and it is surprisingly hard to stop.
The version served here is Candy Clicker 2, made in Scratch by Coltroc in the spirit of Cookie Clicker (the game's own notes thank it 'for... a lot'). The Candy shop holds sixteen upgrades in two kinds. Cursors — Cursor, Steel, Gold, Diamond and Magic — add candy to every click. Everything else, from Auto candy and the Candy farm to the Candy temple, the Time machine and the Candy god, produces candy per second on its own. Each purchase raises that item's price by 15 percent, so buying the same thing over and over gets steadily dearer.
Around the shop sit the slower systems. Clicking and buying earn XP, every level gives sugar, and sugar buys permanent 20 percent boosts in the Sugar shop. Golden candies float across the screen now and then and are worth catching. The Bonus button plays a few seconds of a gorilla clip built into the game (not a real ad) and then doubles your candy for 60 seconds. The Achievements tab tracks 18 goals, and at 100 quintillion candy the Rebirth item resets the run for a 2x bonus. One warning from the author himself: there is no save, so progress lives only as long as the tab does.

| Scroll the shop | Mouse wheel or drag the scroll bar | New items are revealed as you get close to affording them |
| Golden candy | Click it while it is on screen | Gives a burst of candy; the Sugar shop can make it worth more |
| Switch tabs | Shop, Sugar, Achievements and Settings icons | Settings turns music, particles and popup numbers on or off |
| Fullscreen | The button under the game | The author recommends full screen; it also stops stray clicks outside the game |
Getting more candy faster
- Buy Auto click first, then Cursor: Auto click (15) starts the passive income and Cursor (100) doubles what a click is worth at the start. Both pay for themselves in seconds.
- Compare price to power: An item that costs ten times more but makes twenty times more is the better buy. Check the info card before you spend.
- Do not over-buy one item: Each copy costs 15% more than the last. After a few, the next item up the list is usually better value.
- Always grab golden candies: They only stay for a moment. Keep half an eye on the screen even while you wait.
- Save the Bonus for a big moment: Double candy for 60 seconds is worth most once your candy per second is high, not in the first minute.
- Keep the tab open: There is no save. A reload, a closed laptop lid that kills the tab or a cleared browser starts you from zero.

Pro tip: Clicking matters most in the first ten minutes. After that, your candy per second does the work — spend on producers and let the clicks be a bonus.
